Best Chocolate Cake in the World

Ingredients for Cake
3 cups all purpose flour
3 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups unsweetened cocoa
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
4 large eggs
1 1/2 cups milk or buttermilk
1 1/2 cups warm water
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
Ingredients for frosting
1 1/2 cups softened butter
8 oz. softened cream cheese
1 1/2 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
7-8 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk (as needed)
Steps for cake
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Spray 3 9-inch round cake pans.
3. Mix together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a mixer.
4. Mix on low speed until combined
5. Add eggs, milk, warm water, oil, and vanilla.
6. Beat on medium speed until smooth.
7. Divide batter among the three pans.
8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
9. Cool on wire racks for 15 minutes and then turn out the cakes onto the racks and allow to cool completely.
10. Frost
Steps for Frosting
1. In a mixer, beat together butter and cream cheese until fluffy.
2. Add in cocoa powder and vanilla extract and beat until combined.
3. Beat in powdered sugar one cup at a time.
4. Add milk as necessary to make a spreadable consistency.
